Best Practice #3: Assure Availability
This best practice enables you to identify assets and lines that are losing
jobs due to unscheduled downtime, as well as the possible causes of the
downtime through fault cause assignment. The Activplant Performance Management System collects detailed
asset/line fault duration, occurrences and optionally fault cause assignment
data. All faults are classified into four severity categories to enable you to
focus on the truly critical faults.
