Chuck Frosst
President
Mr. Frosst was promoted to President of Activplant Corporation in October 2006 following a successful 18 month tenure as Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to Activplant, Mr. Frosst was most recently Vice President Operations and General Manager at MDS Diagnostic Services, a leading provider of diagnostic laboratory services in North America. While at MDS he had P & L responsibility for a diagnostic business unit with 2,200 employees, including end-to-end responsibility of the business unit's Laboratory operations, sales and marketing, leading Operations Excellence and growth agendas. Prior to joining MDS, Mr. Frosst spent over 15 years with Nortel Networks; most recently as Vice President Human Resources, Global Operations for Nortel Networks, where he led a global HR team that supporting transformation of the end to end supply chain. At various times in his career at Nortel, Mr. Frosst was Director of Marketing Services for the company's Micom Voice over IP business and Manager of Manufacturing / Operations for Nortel's London enterprise facility. In that specific position, he managed aspects of the production process for the development of Telecom solutions, including the end-to-end operations of robotic cells focused on best in class operations practices.
Dennis Cocco
Founder and Chief Product Strategist
Dennis Cocco founded Activplant Corporation in 1998 in London, Ontario and was the company’s first President and CEO. Mr. Cocco currently holds the position of Chief Product Strategist. He is an industry expert with 15 years experience in collaborating with advanced plant operations and manufacturers. Activplant is the leader in Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) and has been providing manufacturers with practical business solutions that create value to their customers and stakeholders.
Before founding Activplant, Mr. Cocco was co-founder of JMP Engineering Inc., an automation systems integrator specializing in advanced manufacturing. In his career, he has worked with numerous Fortune 1000 companies to setup and optimize their automation systems. Mr. Cocco holds a BSc in Systems Design Engineering and is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
Kyle Solomon
Vice President, Marketing and Product Management
Mr. Solomon provides 20 years of industry experience to Activplant Corporation. He is a passionate leader with a proven track record of building and managing high performance teams that deliver relevant software solutions for some of the largest software companies in the world such as Microsoft and Oracle Corporation and others. Most recently he was the World Wide Industry Manager at Microsoft Corporation serving the Global Automotive and Industrial Equipment Marketplaces. In this role he architected and led the team that and delivered Microsoft's Peak Performance Automotive solution and go-to-market strategy, launching globally in 2005. Mr. Solomon offers a deep understanding of the challenges facing manufacturers today and a real passion for solutions that deliver value. Mr. Solomon brings to the company a deep understanding of both technology and industry issues combined with a unique capability to develop compelling messages and market-focused solutions.
Joe Loridas
Vice President, Sales
Mr. Loridas joins Activplant with 20 years of software sales and sales management experience having worked with many Fortune 500 companies in sectors such as Automotive, Telecommunications, Heavy Industry, Pharmaceutical and others. He has a proven track record of sales success and has led sales organizations in a Director of Sales role for companies including MatrixOne Inc., Ariba Inc. and J.D. Edwards. His leadership style motivates and encourages team building skills between sales and departments that work closely with them. Under Mr. Loridas’ leadership his teams have been consistently successful at building customer relationships and strategic in helping customers understand the “Time to Value” message. His diversity having worked with a wide range of industries from large complex enterprises to small and medium sized companies helps him to understand customer environments and ultimately support his sales team. Mr. Loridas holds a BSc in Business Administration from Siena Heights University.
Mathew Rynard
Vice President, Research and Development
Mr. Rynard was most recently the Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Avotus Corporation, a global provider of enterprise communications management software. While at Avotus Corporation Mr. Rynard served as a member of the executive management team and ran the software development organization based out of Mississauga, Ontario and Summit, New Jersey. Responsibilities included the development and support of multiple product lines, including SMB packaged software and high-end, enterprise solutions. Prior to Avotus Corporation Mr. Rynard was with MDR Technologies where he held a number of positions including VP of Technology, Director of Engineering, and Chief Software Architect. Mr. Rynard has worked with many large technology organizations on co-development and consulting engagements and brings a background in applying software development processes to high energy environments. He started his career in control systems design with Bailey Controls after graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering from McMaster University.
Samir Sehovic
Vice President, Technical Architecture
Samir Sehovic joined Activplant Corporation in 1998 and has played key roles in developing all versions of Activplant, first as Senior Software Engineer, then Manager and sequentially Vice President of Research and Development and now in his current position – Vice President, Technical Architecture. Prior to joining Activplant Mr. Sehovic was a Software Engineer with London Health Science Centre and Hypernet Technologies. Mr. Sehovic serves as a lead subject matter expert on the Activplant technical and data architecture. His responsibilities include directing technical product direction and technology adoption, system analysis, design, and software engineering. He also manages the evaluation of third party products and makes recommendations for adopting the technologies for the purpose of increasing the company’s ability to provide solutions to customers. Mr. Sehovic holds a Bachelor of Traffic Engineering degree, a Programmer Analyst diploma and is Project Management certificated.
Drew Forret
Vice President, Finance & Business Operations
Drew joined Activplant as the Controller of the company before moving into a new role as the VP of Finance & Business Operations. With the assumption of this role, Drew is responsible for the overall finance, legal and related operations for Activplant.
Prior to his employment at Activplant, Drew worked with London Life, a division of Great West Life, in their Internal Audit and Risk Management department. While at London Life, Drew was responsible for reporting to Senior Management on business processes and improvement opportunities. Before London Life, Drew worked with KPMG in both their Assurance and Risk Management groups, where he provided advisory services to clients in a number of industries including: automotive, telecommunications, building materials, health sciences, and general manufacturing. It was during his tenure at KPMG that Drew also earned his Chartered Accountant designation. Drew is a graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce program at the University of British Columbia.
