To deploy Activplant’s Throughput Analyzer™ at several key North American plant locations. Throughput Analyzer is the first out of the box system for quickly collecting data, analyzing the data and identifying the constraining operation(s) in a production system.

Results:

Before this project, the manufacturer had been spending time and money fixing downtime issues that were misguided and misdirected. Utilizing the power of the Throughput Analyzer, the key issue was uncovered and it was realized that they had been focusing on the wrong issue. The Throughput Analyzer continually found the true chronic constraints within the manufacturing process that may have never been uncovered manually. TRW Automotive estimates that they will see a 4-fold return on their investment in annual savings as a result of their throughput improvements.
